You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Fokksnøen og nysnøen fra forrige helg er nå i ferd med å smelteomvandles til topps i det varme været.
Det gamle snødekket består i hovedsak av smelteomvandlet snø.
Snøgrensa ligger på ca 300 moh.

Observatør melder lørdag fra Sortland om våt snøoverflate, ellers ingen faretegn eller skredaktivitet observert.

Varmen og snøsmeltingen fortsetter. Snøskredfaren vil variere noe gjennom døgnet og ventes å være størst når dagen er på det varmeste. Det vil da være lett å løse ut små våte løssnøskred i bratt terreng, noen kan også løsne naturlig.
